Default Curious about lipos and batteries.

Alright, I'm curious, back when, I had a 16 turn in my TC3, I ran for about 15 minutes(the battery in the charger was about 1-2 minutes from trickling).

This was with a crappy 1500MaH battery, I know I have my little tricks I've learned from a buddy, but, I'm hearing Lipos do about the same time? Have I been out so much that my 16turn was just crap :P? Or Did my neighbor show me the ways :P. I'm just curious, like I said, I've read they only get like 15 minutes or so off those expensive ass packs.

Come to think of it, all the cars me and my neighbor have built run really cool and have long run times lol, boy the things you learn about ball diffs and spider diffs :P

Hehe...now you're going to get me started. I am now running exclusively Orion platinum packs now after getting really sick of maintaining packs for 4 cars - mine and my 3 kids' cars. I am running offroad and getting 25-30 minute runtime with brushless. My battery maintenance routine? Pull the pack out and charge it right up immediately and put it away. Then I pull it out next time I run and go. I occasionally pull out the multimeter and check for balance. After 20-30 runs on 8 packs, haven't needed to balance yet. Same performance as the first run too. Sure they cost more but I haven't had to replace any since I got them.

What else do you want to know?
