Default brushed motors on there way out???

hey all:Looks like brushless motors are taking over in on road electric 12th pan car and 4wd sedan.Does this meen at the highest racing level that brushless motors will be the norm and brushed motors will be religated to club racing and back yard bashers only? Also with burshless motors so popular right now what type of batteries are working best with them nimh,ib,ip,ep or intellect?I didn't include li-po cause they aren't roar legel yet. Finally is there an industry standard for brushless motors such as rules by roar, brca, jmrca and ifmar because some electric racing recuire brushed and brushless motors to run in seprate classes? Thanks for the info

Brushless is catching on fast. It will be the next big change in this hobby. Lipo's will take much longer to be adopted into racing (if they do at all).

Brushless , liPo & Nitro is all I`ll ever race until something else becomes available that is even better....

Most of the club racer`s at our track have already switch over to both....

Yeah , but first someone will have to sell a brushless to the tuner`s as they can`t even purchase one for tuning & resale and make a profit....

Lipo is catching on locally faster then brushless for the new guys. Its one of the few things in the hobby that improves on a technology AND makes it cheaper. All the new guys want brushless but it cost so much vs a brushed setup that they usually go for the brushed setup.

Lipo is being used here in Florida, It really wont be long till ROAR gets with it, could be as soon as next year. Specs, dimentions, weight, all need to be ironed out. Just from the recent posts on here about lipo, the racers are speaking up loud and clear.
With the new AE sport LRP, and XRB Novak brushless systems available, cost wont be a factor when its time to upgrade.

Maybe the tuners don't have too? Maybe they just go to Chinese market and copy whatever they want like everyone else does.

Good point. I have an LRP 7.5 and I recently switched from the 2006 Sphere to the 2007 Sphere. Let's just say that my motor likes the new speedo. Motors are only half the equation when it comes to BL.
