Sounds like something you see at a Neil Diamond concert.

Seeing a 4200 pack go up this weekend (failed to vent properly) really put me on edge the rest of the night. Would be funnier if it wasn't true. I have a lot more respect for these things now.

Ask around this W/E, the culprit and his sidekick (also an experienced battery blower upper from last year) may fess up to what happened.... I never did get the story of why, maybe I'll find out next weekend, in any case, my new pit spot is STAYING on the other side of the track for sure now.
We had that happen around here as a result of someone discharging on a CTX-D and one of the pins coming lose during the discharge. Unfortunately the CTX-D doesnt recognize this and neither did the person. So the person tried to charge the battery with one nearly fully charge cell. Needless to say it went KABOOM! Ive used lipo every since

Talking

How about swapping someone's left & right C-Hubs on their car when they're not looking?

Then they don't catch on until the following weekend.

That would really piss them off.

Removing the wrench tips from their handles and placing the wrong size in each handle, for example a 2.5mm tip mated to a 5/64" handle.

Supergluing an individuals tools to his/her pit towell.

Dremelling extreme weak spots in an individuals chair so that when the individual attempts to sit on said chair, it collapses beneath them.

Ahhhh, the classics.

Cool

Some of these would only be taboo to the unwilling recipient of said actions.

The remainder of the racing populus would find a signficant amount of joy in the misfortunes of a fellow participant.

But I digress....

Taboo:

Asking for an extension to your 1 minute grace period so you can (any combination of the following):
finish rebuilding your diff
goop your tires,
peak your battery pack
install the rear sway bar
program your radio

Worse than taboo:
Granting an extension to an unprepared racer.

Asking a trophy girl if she'll accept $40 for a trackside lap dance.
