really? I compared all three, Nosram, Vortex and Novak 3.5, and for me, the fastest one is definately the Novak. Vortex has most Punch/torque for what I experienced, LRP works best out of the box. Orion Team drivers use a different rotor for their motors, at least this is what i heard. And you should always reduce the timing on the Vortex since it has a really high current draw.

The timing on the Orion/Vortex motor has to be reduced if you want running a LRP ESC, not in general. As the LRP ESC runs a higher timing you have to adjust the motor for this but not for any other reason.

From factory on the back plate the "B" marking is at the center solder tab. For the LRP speedo you have to turn the back plate clockwise so the "B" marking is at the right solder tab.

Mine did the same thing yesterday. Motor was fast. I am also hoping we can exchange these like Novak when they fail. Sure does cost less than a new motor.

Did finally test my 4,5T Vortex with my LRP TC. Timed the motor back (approx. 3-4 mm) and ran with program 2-7-0-0 and FDR 6,1. Motor was very very good. I had a little more speed with the Vortex as with the X11. Runtime (5 calls) was not an issue. Within 3 weeks I'm going to use it in the Dutch Nationals. ANd then I also try the 3,5T
