Lots of talk on the 10.5 and 17.5 but anyone have thoughts or opinions on the 13.5 race motor?

just saw these on rcmarket:

orion vortex BL Magnet type1 (12.0mm/5mm)
orion vortex BL Magnet type2 (12.0mm/6mm)
orion vortex BL Magnet type3 (12.5mm/5mm)
orion vortex BL Magnet type4 (12.5mm/6mm)

what is the difference from the std rotor in the vortex08? as thought it was 12.5mm anyway but
what does the 5 or 6mm stand for?

Probably pinion shaft diameter... Larger pinion shaft for 1/8 vehicles, maybe?

I know this has been ask before but cant find the answer in the thread so I ask again . What is the difference between Orion vortex race 2008 10.5 and Orion vortex stock 10.5? in terms of speed or power, or is there any noticeable difference in performance? coz right now only the Stock 10.5 is avlbl and cant find the race 10.5 .

The "Stock" versions are ROAR legal, and the "Race" versions are not, so they are considered "Outlaw" motors. Not sure what is different, but I would guess that the rotor diameter or air gap is what makes the "Race" versions illegal for Stock class. They don't really say...

13.5 is a nice motor, used a stock one and a buddy of mine a race version. very powerful once you get the proper fdr.
