What is the difference between race and stock 10.5? Has anyone compared them to the original 10.5 without the fan?

I read somewhere that the "race" motors were outlaw motors, and the "stock" motors where legal motors to race with, roar legal I assume. Now does this mean that the motors are the same in specs but the stock ones have the color coded rings and the engraved markings? I would like to know for sure myself. This may be wrong, but it is what I have read.

Can anybody else confirm or further explain.

Default Gearing

I dont have any ideas of what is the FDR?
Just need an advice, what is the recommended size of pinion and spur should i use for my car.
What I have is:
rc model: TRF 416
esc: LRP sphere.
Motor: Orion Vortex 5.5T , Orion Vortex 10.5T & LRP 3.5T
Track: Asphalt with straight line about 40-50 meters.
Can someone tell me the recommended size of pinion and spur should i use for each motor that i have. I dont need it too fast, just need a decent speed that doesn't overheat the esc and motor.
Battery: Lipo Orion 3800

Please help me...

Questions??

Hi All

Can someone please tell me the KV rate for the 17.5 & 4.5 vortex BL motors ?

How do these two motors compare to the LRP 17.5 & LRP 4.5 BL motors ?

Thanks

Thanks, give me a bit of ideas.

I just need a suggestion of pinion size and spur combination that is good for straight line asphalt track about 40-50m and at the same time keep the motor and esc at a good temperature. Any suggestion would do.

just in the internal drive ratio the fdr can still be the same you will just need a different pinion and spur combination.
