It migh take a couple race days to give you an informen opinion. I just recieved my new motor on thursday. I raced it on sunday and it felt good but it still needed some tuning. Nothing major but small timing and gearing changes.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but there are two versions of 10.5 and 13.5 ... Stock and racing. Are both ROAR legal?

I think that neither are actually ROAR approved yet...but the "stock" versions meet ROAR specifications for stock classes, so they should be approved soon.

The "racing" versions are not and will not be legal in US stock classes.

the first batch of vortex race 2008 do not have the most appropriate rotors, so this could be a reason for the suboptimal performance of these motors so far. At least i was told so by a team driver, we'll see whether Orion comes up with a better rotor for this motor.

Does someone happen to know if the new 08 motors (mod, 4.5/4/3.5) need to be timed the same way like the older (feigao) motors with an LRP (sphere TC) esc, with the 'B' between the B & C solder tabs?
