Its a Brand New Motor, so Im not worried about it being messed up, but it just doesnt seem right to me, unless a 7.5 just isnt that fast.

My other question is that when I slow down it has super locking brakes, the other thing is that sometimes I hear a clicking sound, as if its skipping on the spur/pinion, but the mesh is fine. Its obviously not like a brushed motor, so Im trying to figure BL out so far.
What speedo you use? Have you checked it if everything is OK with?Have you calibrate the esc with your radio? Have you checked your speedo-motor connection? Is it hardwired or you use some kind of connectors?

Im running a GTB Spectrum with an M11. The wire is an Orion wire and its new as well. Hardwired straight to the motor. ESC was calibrated as well.

I'm going with your positive connector- top deck theory, but how does your positive connector hit the top deck when its hooked up to the battery?

Did the sparks come from within the motor? Open it up, look for burn marks or a burny smell. That'll tell you if its fried.
The sparks and smoke came from the motor... and it's the motor that smells burnt. The way the battery was mounted, the terminals were at the rear of the car... the positive was close to the top-deck.
I've examined the top deck, and there are no burn marks where the terminal may have touched the top-deck.

Why wont my motor work when I try to run it in reverse?

at 0 timing, it works fine going normal (in my TC car) But for my off road car I had to flip 2 wires, and it makes a weird sound, and spins slow, with a novak, and orion motor it did the same thing

Im using a LRP TC sphere, do I have to re-program my esc, or whats wrong?

Check that the motor screws arenīt too long, they will touch the fan inside the motor if they are.

Flipping the wires only works with sensorless. The TC-spec doesnt have reverse in the software but the GTB do.
