The Mamba Max 4600 at least as fast as a good 19turn. Poundit has no idea what he's talking about.

No worries. I've chosen the 7.5 for the job. If i feel it too much ill just turn the setting down on the MM.

i have the same exact set up as you and car, what batteries are you using? im using Ib 4200. So by increasing the punch control you reduced the cogging?? i heard you can do that but only with LIPO.

By decreasing the punch you get rid of cogging....

I am using IB4200WC cells. If you read the manual on page 23 and 24 it says nothing about LIPO. This is from the manual:

Code:
This setting controls how fast the
throttle position within the ESC can
be changed over time.
It really helps allot if you have cogging.

Hes using a sensorless esc.........

There will always be cogging, but with the MM, you can pretty much get rid of it

Default noise

I have run my 13.5 in my XXX CR with a 26t pinion and a 76 spur. SUPER high ratio with lipo and the motore doesn't even get warm. I'm very please with it all around however it make quite a bit of noise. I have checked the bearings and they're fine. the screws don't hit the fan.

is this common? since there isn't any heat or funny smells would any of you be overly concerned about this?

thanks
S

To avoid cogging with MM esc try changing Timing to a higher position.

The sound of Vortex should be very clear and high tone. I love the sound of my Vortex! Bought it first in my area and all the LRP guys looked back when I first tried out my Vortex at the trainings, they were like - what the f*** is THAT? It sounds like it would have a few thousand rpm's more than any other motor.
