414mII: spacer on suspension arm block

414mII and Evo3 both use spacer between suspension arm block and lower chassis. What is the purpose and the difference seing different size of spacer?

I'm not familiar with these cars, but usually it'll change kick up (front) and anti squat (rear). Kick up give less steering entering corners, but give better handling through bumps. It also give a little more on power steering. I think anti-squat affects the way weight are transferred front/rear during acceleration / decceleration.

You can also use the same spacers front and rear to "raise" the roll center. making the car move more in the the corners for more weight transfer.
