Well, since all they are doing is allowing 5 cell not forcing you to run 5 cell whats the problem. Run 6 cells.

That said...if you run Mod Buggy you can run 5 cell and on most tracks for most drivers its faster than 6 cell.

if onroad became 5 cell and offroad stayed 6 it could pose problems for some..

it is my understanding that no one is suggesting adding more classes i.e. 5 cell stock, 6 cell stock, 5 cell 19t, 6 cell 19t, the discussion was, should 5 cells be allowed in stock with the weight reduction to race against 6 cell. or did i miss something?

You would be correct... I was stating my opinion on why i think roar would go to 5 cell and allow brushless for all classes before they would allow lipo.

thats fine. and actually i have been running the 13.5 for quite a while now and would like it very much if there was a roar class for it at nats. i'm thinking the masters class would be a perfect place to "test' it out. were just a bunch of old guys avoiding the "real" racing anyway

sorry off topic. my bad.

I think 5 cell will come before lipo.... Here is my reasoning.. We come off the track with 1500mah in stock right now and a good 900 or more in 19t. So why the heck would you want to run a lipo pack and use even less of the pack while your running your 5 minutes. We go 5 cell and make everyone run the 5 minute race and come off the track with 300 or so mah left in the cells and actually use the entire pack.

Running lipo in a 5 minute race is like buying 1 gallon of paint to paint the front door of your house... When you really only need a quart of paint.

One IB4200 cell has 4200mah of power. A six cell has 4200 mah of power. The ammount of capacity is not reduced. Run time will acctually be increased.

At the Florida State Series the Master's class have been running the 13.5 together with brushed motors and they have a blast.
