Going brushless, need a hand.

Wooo, first post!

Anyways... I have a Traxxas Rustler RTR, and am looking to go brushless with it. I need a 540 size motor (or close), with a 1/8 shaft, and an ESC, but need to stay uder $250, prefferably under $200. I'm looking to get the Fastest and most durable (I have a wonderful talent of destroying motors days after purchase... Might be Traxxas made some crap motors though.) motor & ESC I possibly can. Something that'll do a minimum of 40mph, hopefully faster, and not overheat from long run times. If anyone has some ideas for this, I would greatly appreciate the help.

Default Price

The Novak is pretty good for the price and their Customer Service is darn good. Think the Novak will get close to the speed you're looking (look on their website) but another option might be the Castle Creation Mamba Max it's relatively cheap for the speed output. As long as you're not racing in a restrictive class at a track it's an option.

Stay away from LRP, Cust Serv sucks.

TyleOwenby has the right Idea.
That motor is capable of some insane speeds.
And if you want it to run cooler throw in the Sintered rotor and you may never need to buy another motor. They are even faster with the sintered rotor.
Best all round price and the best all round product.

It does not get any better than the Novaks.

There is also the Mamba Max systems from Castle Creations. They have 4 different kv motors.

Acctually, no rules really. I'm recent to the hobby, so only drive it up and down the road I live on, or at the park. anything goes for me
