Are Hand Wound motors better?

Ok, so I normally just buy my motors from my LHS or Tower but I want to try a few motors from some of the Motor-Tuner companies out there and was wondering if a Hand-Wound armature is really better? Or do moter-tuners still offer this or just balance the armature?

We still hand wind modified armatures. Hand wound is better. Machine wound arms tend to have errors, sloppy winds, and just look like crap. They come off unbalanced and the performance is poor compared to their hand wound counterpart.

I have seen arms wound by Peter that require almost no balancing. I have seen machine wound arms by Trinity need to be thrown out because the winds were so jacked up on them.

Hand wound arms have less of a tendency of throwing winds in really hot mods. Machine wound arms can be "loose" and have a tendency to throw winds easier.
