Alpha Elite are the charter members who originally subscribed to the site in the past - there is a thread in the site discussion area with a list of everyone as well as further explanation as to what they got in recognition of their support.

Spell check is good, but your web browser should do it not the forum. It's better in the browser because it then works in all web text boxes not just RCTech.

I my case, to turn it on by right clicking on a text entry field, like the reply message entry. Then select spelling from the popup menu , then select "Check Spelling as You Type". Now all of my spelling errors get underlined in red.

Not sure about that logo or the Spongebob font

But give it a week or so and I am sure most people will get used to it.
Over all, good job

Everybody should make sure to check this stuff out, it's really good.

Regarding the logo, I like the more "retro" look to it as well... I think too much on the web today--and especially forums--all kind of have the same mechanical look to them. I know any time you move away from that you will have people either love it or hate it, but I do like being a bit different.

Thanks! And yea, I know I've promised more than I can deliver in the past (haha) but part of bringing Jason into this was to help me with some of the time consuming technical stuff that should let me focus more on actually getting stuff done.

Can you elaborate on this? Scrolling to the right?

New site looks very nice indeed.

RSS Feeds will be interesting once they are active

As for the logo the text is good, although I cant help that thinking having it in the shape of a body shell would be interesting, but then which one to pick, I was thinking maybe a touring car but a buggy could look good as well.

allways good to help smaller company's & new ones to get going to get a foot hold in this small market ,so giving them discount is good

BUT

the big company's that have made there mark should balence out the books by paying you more for there ads

I actually believe pretty strongly that the value of web advertising is not as much in the clicks as it is in the brand exposure from people viewing just a name, logo, product, etc. I think that people are just now starting to realize that, and adjust their marketing models accordingly.

Unfortunately you'd be amazed at how unwilling many (not all; we have some very loyal advertisers) larger companies are to spend a tiny fraction of what they spend in print advertising on the web.

A page in one month of one major magazine typically costs as much or more than an entire year of a banner running on here. I know budgets are tight and audiences are vastly different between the web and magazines, but it still makes me wonder when I get told "sorry, it's not worth it."
