Adrian -
I wouldn't dream of using anything else. Only hard cases for me. Trakpower is using Enerland cells as I've heard which are manufactured well. Were you just grouping the Core with the Trakpower packs in a hint???

I hear the Enerland cells have pretty miserable cycle life. :-(

What I really want is to try cells from Saehan Enertech. I hear they're even better than Kokam, and a bit cheaper too.

Anyone have packs produced with those cells that you know of? Better in which aspect? Kokam's life cycle is nothing short of phenomenal in their higher end cells and the same with the safety. Are you talking closer to NiMH on the discharge voltage?

Sounds like Multiplex is going to use them. Sweet.

Similar cycle life to Kokam, and better voltage under load. Cheaper, too. I hope some graphs pop up comparing the cells.

I'm reaching a point where I can no longer suggest LiPo in mixed racing against NiMH in stock sedans with weight limits in place. The voltage issue definitely seems to come into play. I'm going to experiment with dropping weight and see how that goes. It's frustrating. I imagine it would mean less in mod, but I can barely wheel a stock car a whole race without hitting anything.

That is incorrect. The Enerland cells are used by Thunder Power and Flight Power in the R/C Air market and they last a really long time. Life is determined by how abusive the user is....but that goes for all types of cells...NiMh too.

Dont get all nutty about LiPo brands in China. There are a lot for factories making LiPos but when it come to high amp R/C stuff most of them come from the same 2 places....the diffrent brands are just companies reselling them.

Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to get the version with the Deans plugs on here in the UK or whether it's just the 4mm connector packs which are available?

Syndr0me, did you notice that only the 3200 was 7.4v and the rest are 11.1v? It's hard enough getting 7.4 legal let alone 11.1.

Is the lipo pack sold by racers edge the same thing as the core rc pack? Its got the same case, same wires, same connector. The the onlything different is that theres a racers edge sticker on the pack instead of core rc.

Looking forward to your findings Mcgoo

Just run mine for the first time tonight, it's the first Lipo I've had although my dad has been using the Orion 4800 for some time. All I can say is I'm super impressed by the extra bit of speed it gave me in stock, and also by the fact that I can get away with using just one pack all night, brilliant!
