What was the pack voltage before putting it on the charger?

Anything below 6.0v and damage has occurred. The lower the voltage, the more damage.

You know, I was in such a panic, I didn't check. Plus I figured by the time I got the battery on the charger to look at the voltmeter, it would have sorta "recovered" and any reading would be misleading...

Is there any other way I could find out if it's been damaged? Will it just not perform as well, or have different charging characteristics?

Depending on the depth of the overdischarge, best case scenario is you've just reduced the cycle life of the pack, with little or no performance degredation.

Worst case would be an immediately recognizable drop in performance the next time you run it. If this turns out to be the case, I would then be extremely cautious of the pack each and every time it's on the charger, and watch for any signs of puffing. It will also show far fewer mah capacity than before (both in runtime, and on the charger).

Is the Core 6 amp power supply enough to power the UDC-20? I know it only charges at 5 amps, but I've heard some chargers need more than their output implies...

If not, how many amps does the manual specify is needed? Thanks

Both CORE chargers in stock!

We've been using the CORE 6A power supplies w/the CORE chargers at full loads for quite a while with absolutely no probs!

I'm using the core UDC-20 charger and love it so far. Just one question - What's up with the fan on the left side of the charger? My charger gets pretty warm and the fan never kicks on. There are also two different plugs on the left side of the charger that the instructions don't explain at all. What's up with that?

I guess that's two questions.

Thanks

So yeah i've been seeing a lot of fan questions lately

Try charging a 3S LiPo, the fan will kick right on, on 2S and NiMh the charger doesn't get hot enough to warranty the use of the fan.

second question, there are 2 different power outlets on the side of the charger, one is built in (obviously its the one with alligator clips)

and the second one would be plugged into the socket, which give you 2 choices in plugging into your power source.

Thanks for the answers. There is also a plug on the left-hand side that has three prongs in it, kind of the size that a servo plug would fit in. Do you know what that is for?

Thanks again.
