We'll be doing full specs press releases for the Core charging equipment just after we get it in later this week. Stay tuned for that :-)

3250 runtime - totally depends on the car, surface and gearing.

I raced with one this last weekend, and on an overgeared 13.5 on asphalt w/my Mi3, I was putting back in around 1700mah after our 6 minute races. (I got 4th in the A by the way - go me! LOL)

One of our customers is running a 6.5 in a stadium truck offroad with the Core 3250 and loving it - no runtime issues there either.

I used the Core 5000 and Speed Passion speed controller to TQ the Mod Sprint class at the February Freeze Dirt Oval Race at Bumps and Jumps RC this past weekend. This is the second largest dirt oval race in the country with 350+ entries this year.

A huge thanks to Shawn Palmer and Nexus Racing for helping my learning curve through the transition to Lipo's and brushless!!!

Which ever you prefer?

the plug is JST Type XH and I know Hyperion makes an XH style balance port

How close are these batteries to being roar legal? Same question for the 3250.

Thanks

We should hear something pretty quickly - today is the deadline for motors/bodies/batteries for the upcoming Carpet Nats, and we got everything in to ROAR in time for that. So it should be announced and/or added to the approval list today/tomorrow?

Any suggestions on fitting the 5000 in a Type R? Just got the pack and it seems to rub on the pulleys in the rear. Will the pack still be safe/legal if the pulleys rub a small amount of the plastic on the pack away? It is so close I figured I could just run it as is for a few laps and the pulleys would do all the minor trim work for me. Anyone else run the Core 500 and a JRXS Type R ?

I have the core in my TypeR and you do have to dremel down the sides a little so the pullley's don't rub against the plastic. No biggie though. I believe that it does deem the pack illegal depending how you interpret the rule. It should be safe as long as you don't dremel down away all of the material in the hard case.

I just noticed my 5000 core rc pack all swollen up today. The case is actually split apart and cannot be put back together. The pack only has 2 charges on it. It is still good?

Will a Core 5000 fit a Losi Type R without any mods? I was told I would have to make some mods to the car or the case to make it fit. The height looks like it is 23.5mm from the website. I was going to go with a SMC 5000 but it will not fit the Type R directly.

it will fit the battery will tough the pulleys but its minimal , you can take about .25 mm out of it or run it for a few laps and it will wear it self out
