Default Schumacher Menace electric GTR and Mamba Max Brushless? what do you guys think?

Has anyone started a project with the Schumacher Menace GTR-e (electric)
version, the car comes witha three speed tranny, and putting in a Castle Creations Mamba Max Brushless system?

A few GTRe's run the Schumacher BTCC in the UK, sorry, don't know anything technically about them but I do know guys were using brushless systems and not all ran 3 speed systems.

The cars looked to be a bit of a handfull so their results aren't great.

On rcuniverse, there is a guy with the handle RURC, he is like the electric guru. He did it and the car was pushing 68 mph with ease. That would be strictly for bashing of course because this car is not a high performance 1/8 scale. But, who would argue with a car flying by at 68 mph....silently?!? R/C ninja is in the house.

We have ditched the 3 speed for racing in BTCC too much rotating mass and it spikes the current at every change and causes overheating.

BxPitbull, I couldn't find the name "RURC" on RcUniverse?

is he on this forum?
do you have a Link to him?
