Associated TC4 help please - differential/drive train problem
#1

Hey guys,
I have an RTR TC4 that I recently had a pretty decent wreck with into a curb. It knocked something within the transmission loose, because after the wreck, the car has absolutely no grip in the back two wheels. In other words, the wheels spin, but as soon as I turn the wheel, the car immediately spins out. I took the body off and spun the gear that attaches to the pinion gear which is attached to the motor itself, and unlike before, the rear wheels do not spin. Basically, I believe something is loose within the drive train and am not sure how to go about figuring out what it is and how to fix it. Do any of you have any experience with this sort of problem?
Thanks,
Henry

it sounds as though your rear diff has come loose
try
taking the rear diff out of the car. This is done by removing the 6 screws on the case. Then check and see if the bolt which goes through the middle is either loose or broken. If it is loose tighten it up then undo it by about 1/4 turn. I fit is broken replace part.

thanks for the advice, it ended up being a slightly different problem than I figured, but I fixed it regardless.
