Tamiya Racing Car TT-01R Chassis Kit
What is the top speed for this car out of the box?
Whats a good, fast, trq'y brushed motor upgrade for it?
1. Balls out the Fastest one this chassis can handle?
2. Fastest one while keeping the thing reliable?

How fast can you run????
Honestly, Tamiya cars (and most cars in general) are not built for pure speed. However, I imagine with enough money you could make your TT-O1R go pretty fast.........then you can turn around and go real fast again.
Nice car though. Good luck with that.

out of the box approx 12 mph
you'll need to upgrade the bushing to ball bearings, upgrade the drive shaft, and upgrade the shocks. if this is your first car, take the mods one step at a time so you will get used to the speed and handling.
if you gear the silver can motor to about 5 to 1 overall ration you probably can hit around 20 mph,
then you can go to a stock racing motor, and depending on the gearing around 25 mph plus
with better batteries and 19 turn probably 25 to 30,
if you want just speed the easiest way is to go to a hot brushless,
for a beginner I do not recommend this unless you are prepared to crash hard and destroy parts.
a good local hobby shop should be able to direct you the the right direction.
this is a excellent chassis for racing, drifting or rally, tamiya makes excellent electric cars.

It's the TT-01R Chassis. I has most of the upgrades already except for the ball diff. It also comes with a 25turn motor and NOT the 27turn motor. because the motor is only 25turns it may go around 25-30 MPH if you break-in the motor first and over gear. It's a good "spec car" for the TCS.
