Tamiya New Mini Cooper M03L Damper ?

Hi I'm new to the site, and trying to get into racing. I bought a mini cooper recently to join the racing at the new local track. I am also trying to get my mini ready for TCS. I bought a load of stuff from Tower and I think I goofed on the dampers.

Can anyone tell me before I open the pack if the Tamiya TA03 Super Low Fricition Damper Set p/n 53280 will work on the mini??

So far I have the ball diff, reinfoced rims, 6od slicks, sways, short tuned shocks, duratrax streak, sermos, full bearings, and a JR high torque servo,(anyone else think the tamiya servo saver is a little large?)

Thanks in Advance,
Bug

Default ok ok, I'm a noob, but how about setup for these?

Sorry, I searched and found a list of mini parts that fit....I've started assembly. Any suggestions/tips for assembly, before I spill silicone all over the dining room table?

Thumbs up THANKS!!!

Thanks for the link, I've been to his site, he uses the cva mini shocks, not the ones I have. I just installed them and they seem to be pretty nice, still understeering and the brakes on the streak suck, or more likely I haven't a clue how to set up the mx-3. I'm about to slap the rear anti sways on and see if that helps steering at some type of speed other than coasting...I guess it's just part of the front wheel drive charateristics....

Default great ideal

I'll check with TCS as well as the NorCal shop to see if I can run that in the Tamiya Mini Cooper class .....Man I wish Tamiya had a forum like Traxxas. Thanks for suggestions and links everyone, I'm out for good.

I can answer that question pretty quick....

If it isn't a Tamiya kit, Tamiya part or Tamiya hop-up intended for the chassis it is installed on, it's not TCS legal.

The only exception is radio gear (ECS, receiver and servo) and servo saver.
They can be any brand or type. Battery can be any type or brand but must
be a 6 cell stick pack (no Li-pos). Only legal motor is the Tamiya silver can (Mabuchi or
Johnson).

As for the Recoil running with the Minis.....
4 wheel drive versus front wheel drive
A kit designed this year versus one designed in the 80s

Sounds really fair to me.

Yeah, I thought that was a pretty goofy statement myself.
