The lower capacity lipo's should have a faster discharge rate that will help you get some more top end out of the motor as well. The car is awesome how it is currently, get one now and use the new bulkheads/upper deck as a tuning option.

Someone else will have to answer the spares question though, because I have yet to have anything break.

And to answer the other question, LRP Sphere TC is probably your best bet, and easilly fits in the car.

are you talking about the knuckle itself or the C hub? We already have the C Hubs from Serpent, they are in stock, Do not see a lot of knuckles go out.

Typical Spares you would get for any other car...

Steering Blocks
C Hubs
Front Arms
Rear Arms
Belts
CVD's

That being said... I did not break anythign on the car for the first couple of months. ( and I hit things HARD )

Things you may consider when buying the car
Gear Diff + 3k, 5k ,7k Oils
Spool Outdrives
Additional Springs

Although might just sell them off and get me some SMC 4000 and just get the S400. Car looks sweet and seems like its really smoking every body.

My girl's dad is a Serpent fan and drives Serpent 720. He gets discounts and could hook me up with a S400. What parts should I get for spares and what Speed control you all recommend for 13.5 and 10.5...cause I'm tired of my GTB already. Need something new.

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I'm a Serpent driver: I drive an S400. But I'm not team driver or sponsored driver

Get the S400 now. Dont let a battery keep you from enjoying the car. If you are anything competetive, then this car is for you. Just get Orion 3600 or SMC4000 packs and you'll be on your way to experiencing what we've all come to enjoy from the S400: a sweet looking, super simple design, very durable, sharp handling, cheap parts, good support car.

I dare you to find a car better all around I've had them all and ran pretty much everything for the last couple yrs and the S400 is the best all around car I've had so far.

S400 knuckles are tough...never had one of them break after running the S400 for nearly 3 months my first time around with the car.

I haven't had any problems like that, you may have overtightened the screw and stripped the threads a bit...

I would highly recommend the S400. It works with the kit setup. Great car right out of the box. I would order the gear diff with the kit. As far as parts Tim Potter's list looks good. You might want to get a set of hinge pins. The SMC 4000 would be a good choice in Lipo. I would also agree with Randy about the speedo, but you might wait a week or two for the new Tekin RS line. They have advance timing adjustment and they are smaller then the TC Spec. Just my .02 cents.

I havent had any leaking problems with mine, but I suppose if I was having the problem I'd start off by getting a new O-Ring.

Thats what I am going to do, was just wondering if anyone had already done the leg work to get the size of the o-ring. Looks like I will just take the old one with me down to the local hardware store.
