i'm curious to see how you get the shaft to spin between those two diffs.

Racer Z, you may want to check your car for Associated parts when he gives it back.

Just got back from the FSEARA State Race, had bunch more S400's in the field then the last race. All the cars seems to be working pretty good. The conditions were pretty difficult, track temps were up and down ,it went form 75 to 45 in temps.

We got to test with the gear diff, and it is very promising.

I know we had a car in the A in both Sportsman ( 13.5) and Expert ( 10.5).
We run our mod class, in a Reedy, heads up manner, and I had some real solid runs.

Another great weekend for the S400 at the New years Rumble race.
Running the fastest laps we sat just a tenth or two outside of TQ, and were set for a great A Main. But Parked the car on the first lap, working through the field pulled a turnbuckle. Car was excellent and turned the fastest laps. Worked on some different setups and changes, ran the thinner chassis to try and perfer how the thick carpet chassis feels in the car. Gear diffs still untouched since vegas and working great.

The gear diffs, are they run front and rear?

Bought this as my first electric car and installed the 3200 orion lipo. Im dissappointed it didnt fit as i swore i read on this post that it will. I really did allot of grinding but still im not happy with the fit. I need it to sit more to the right as its too close to the main spurgear. Also the positive wire out of the battery is even closer to the rear belt pinion. Anyone else notice this?

I know it's not a 3200, but my 3600 fits really well. I had to do some grinding like Tim Potter had to do. It does rub a bit on the bulkhead where the screw is, but all it has done is messed up the label a bit. I run mine with the positive terminal close to the spur. I took a hard hit to the side that the lipo was on and the battery didn't even move with it being taped down.

I'll take a pic when I get home from work this evening for you.

I've been running the front diff from serpent for about 2 months now in two of my s400s. Like it a lot, but I want to try the gear diff...

Here is the 3600 lipo installed before and after lead. Sorry for the quality of the 2nd pic. The clearance is close, but neither the case or the positive lead rub on the pulley!

Sorry, didn't get that from your post. You've probably exhausted all avenues. But, check if your LHS has MMR as a supplier. That's how I got mine.

This is the grinding i did.

This is below the T-bar. I grinded half so it can still lay flat.

Closeup shot close to the pulley

Maybe too close?

Overall shot with the battery in place unsecured
