Thanks for the repsonses on the Xray springs guys. 2 questions

As a T2 racer why should I go for the S400 against the T2'008 (that's a positive question!)

Spares. Having only run Xray, there are several UK sites where Xray spares are abundant. What is the Serpent position -peraps it is too ealry to say? I have not found much so far, although I guess I have not tried too hard.

Do Serpent make all their parts or do they use other manufacutrers too, that are easy to source?

Add the weight to the outside of the battery, and you will only need to add half as much to achieve the balance.

Its not hanging off much. Only 7mm. The pack it 45mm wide it hangs off 7mm that means the battery hangs off 15% of the total width. The lipo weighs 267 grams, 15% of that hangs off the chassis that mean 41 grams hangs off the chassis that sounds like a lot but considering the car weighs 1502.5247255 grams (3 pound 5oz) that means only 2.7% hangs off the side not much at all. Also on the other side of the chassis the brushless motor hangs off 16mm and the servo hangs off 5mm....

I think LIPO batteries will make people stress with weight balance, fortunately my town it's still forbidden.

Not really...it depends on what car you have and the size of Lipo you use. The extremely low bulkheads and top deck of the Serpent is the issue, as well as the size of the lipo pack. But you can fit Orion 4800 or Max Amps 6000 lipo pack on an Xray '007 or Cyclone w/ no pblms. Just add the weight where needed. The other issue is that TC weight in the US is still at 1525g minimum, which can be dropped to 5 cell EFRA weight and then most of these "issues" would dissapear, where as 5 cell drivers would be going crazy trying to shed off weight + balance the car

My S400 ready to go w/ body and Max Amps 6000 Lipo weighs in at 1300g...it fits better than my Orion 4800 pack, and it doesnt hang off the chassis(But it its not hard cased, so it cant be run at FSEARA events, yet). If weight were only 1350g instaed of 1525g!!!

You wouldn't have things hanging like that if you'd borrow Marcos Jennings Type R- yep...the fast one...down the back straight
