The current configuration in the shock which is 2 o-rings and plastic seal is the only way to go. Although ive yet to experiment with other o-rings.

Anybody know of a place that has S400 "C" hubs in stock or another brand that will fit?

I have been using them, consider myself a pretty average electric racer that on a good day plays with the best.

They are great to deal with. Not sure if they hurt or help the car. Feel and runs great. Have been running them since vegas and not had to touch them once. Ran them at novak and as long as I was willling to take to motor the the edge of destruction I could gett he lap times in foam.

I dont think you will be at a disadvantage, but I would say to look at your starting and finishing lap times, compare it to others you race with. If your times are on par with other fast guys with the items you listed, you may be able to gain a little by pulling off one fan and the heat sink to pull some weight off the car.Our local track is indoors and we run rubber tires, on a warm day to a cold day times change as much as .5 sec a lap, so any testing you do with pulling off weight to see if it helps may not be very informative, due to the changes from one day to another.
