Hi ya,

Thanks for the comments.
The diffs are, front titanium Racing spool, rear is genuine Serpent gear diff. Can't get neither any more but the Spec-R Tamiya 416 gear diff with shims will fit but has a higher tooth count than Serpent 35 tooth count. The Tamiya spool front gear assembly i think will be the best option for a front spool from what I've been told of.
The unis are Spec-R which i sell as an option and have given good reliability so far.

Cheers

Ren

Deck looks good. I should have mine and stock by Tuesday next week. The sway bar holders i do have in stock and are on the site marked as listed below. Good to hear the bearing holders arrived.

S400-43F bar holder front set 3 in stock
S400-43R bar holder rear set 3 in stock

Same page the bearing holders were on.

Cheers

You guys catch this one on redrc.net

Serpent are also debuting their new touring car chassis, the S401. All new down the middle, the car retains its wishbones, uprights and steering blocks but thatís about it. A new super narrow chassis is the backbone of this car, with new blocks front and rear enclosing the 2 gear differentials. The motor mounting block is also new, mounted only to the chassis plate and the anti roll bars are mounted higher, pivoting at both extremes of the car. The car is in the final prototyping stages and is seen here not in its final guise.

Anyone have a pic???

If SERPENT keep most of the suspension parts same as the S400 then the JET HOBBY alloy c hubs and knuckles will still be an option. Yeh baby i don't have to update too much. Considering i have enough to build two other cars this will make good economical sense.

Very happy indeed.....

Cheers

Hi everybody! Do you know if spec-r gear diff for tamiya 416 fits my s400 correctly? because his pulley is 37T, will this cause any problem?

Thanks a lot!

With shims it will fit but the gearing will be wrong as you will have to change the front diff to compliment the rear. Other wise it will over drive the front wheels. Not a good situation.
You might have to check , but a Tamiya front spool might fit, again shimmed.

Cheers

Nice ride venom54....the S401 is my next car

But besides looking trick....does the S400 perform and does it respond well to set-up changes?

Yes, to my driving and ability it performs very well. Responds good to changes, even minor such as droop by 1mm increments and other chassis set ups, but again it has been very forgiving, even for this monkey behind the wheel!
Can't complain as I've kept the car since November 2008.

Cheers

Ren.

Default This is a Long Shot

I would like to try a gear diff in my car. However I am running a MI4. I was wondering if anyone here knows if the Serp gear diff can be installed into the MI4? Just a long shot..
