They must be stripping kits apart to get parts ...

Getting back to diffs. That TRF416 diff looks really similar to the S400 on pictures i found in the web.

fly_wheel: Do you have those yokomo part numbers ?

The 416 bulkheads are a LOT more narrow than the Serpent ones. So the diff/spool have a lot of slop between the bulkheads on an S400.

I'm sure they want to sell it all together but if you are looking for a S400 and a boatload of parts, check with Hobbytown USA in Omaha or PM HobbyPLEX on here. They have a kit and a bunch of parts clearanced in the store. No one in Omaha runs the car so it just sits on the shelf all lonely. Give it a home!!

Couldn't that be fixed by shims ?

I am talking half an inch or more. It also affects the outdrives as the 416 uses shorter arms than the S400. I supposed you wanted to run a stack of 25-35 washers you might be able to make it work.

Yep, 13mm is a bit too much to fix by shims.

Looks nice, though it's funny to see Tamiya parts on a prototype car.

EDIT: At second glance, it really just looks like a normal S400 with cut bulkheads in the rear and the one piece lipo top deck Vesa used to sell (along with some Tamiya shocks and driveshafts for good measure).

Default S400 <-- 21 Gun Salute

That's it for my S400... I just broke the upper servo saver arm (401048) and this was the last piece I had in my spare parts box (I had 3 before). This is for sure I could not find a replacement part even with the other kits. I've been running my S400 with 2 of the wheels' 5x10x3 BB (which is very hard to find) even close to binding.

Guys in this forum have been trying to keep the S400 alive with a few ways or so. Time to move on guys. I will be shelving my S400 until something from the manufacturer will come up (if any). Will try to concentrate on the T2R Pro which I got 2 months back or anything - anything but Serpent...

Sorry guys, it hurts me as much as it hurts you...

So, how about a 21 gun salute to the S400... rest in pieces.
