the double UJ or ECS or DCJ, whatever they call it, is made by atomic...

i will get a pair for mine just to see if it really improves corner performance...

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-trf...t-p-29824.html

for under usd40 per pair guys... very tempting huh..!

It's not everyday that I say this but ...

HEY SERPENT COMPANY!!,, 2010 is just around the corner. Mind if you guys say somethin' about your plans for any spare parts?

I think they are sayin something with this small announcement.

http://www.serpent.com/product/401177

.....Either the new touring car will be running the same steering blocks, or this is the most confused company in RC.

I really dont know how i feel about these aluminum suspension parts. i just put on aluminum 4 deg c hubs for the first time and it feels like it really increased the un-sprung weight up front. Has anyone noticed a negative effect on response form the added weight

To use ECS driveshafts you need special caster blocks like the xray special part. These have an enlarged hole for the driveshaft to pass through.

You need the caster block (C-hub) not the steering block.

That would be great if it were true. Sadly, 4 degree c-hubs are still out of stock everywhere.

Yes, i know but i'm not going to race a car that isn't supported by its manufacturer. For now, it stays in the shelf.

My original idea when i bought it was to go from 1/8 onroad to 1/10 EP because of the costs with 1/8 onroad. Thankfully, i didn't sell any of my 1/8 kit so i can just keep doing that for now.

The problem is that my federation has adopted EFRA rules for next year and the championship will have 7 minute heats, which means anybody without a mechanic will be at a big disadvantage. Previously, i only needed help in the pit in the finals...

I'm personally of the opinion that if 1/8 onroad went with the EP system (5 minutes qualification heats and finals) they would get more participation.

That was a bit offtopic...

we don't have GP track anymore here near my home... (the land owner decide stop the rental contract) so we end up bashing a car park... so now mostly end up with EP touring cars or crawler..!

i don't have too much skill for me to improve by getting another new car n i have tons of parts for my s400, so i decided to stick with it... shame as i'm still looking for the 1 piece top deck (v-dezign) but i can't get enough ppl to do the bulk purchase... besides lipo fitment issue, the car still run great although struggle hard to find the right setup for tide corners...

well, i do miss the nitro sound... hmmm...

happy new year..!

i just got 2 pairs of s400 cvds n cvd inserts... the colour is different than the previuos one... i guess maybe serpent has managed to outsource s400 parts from different manufacturer... cvd #401028 was black but now it's brown (sort of spring steel colour) n the inserts #401029 r now silver (it was dark brown)... also seems like the plastic steering block n c hubs r back in stock but all of this at very low quantities... hope this news r good for all...
