my first run after the cutting the car was transformed....
The Corally Phi rear end looks a lot like what you cut out on the S400

Im about to get an s400 - just wondering if you guys think sperpent will pull the rug out from under us as far as parts support goes. Do you guys think its possible that the car will be discontinued?

Serpent made the changes that they made to help product supply not to hurt it or to stop producing cars. I read in a different thread that things are progressing nicely for them. With the changes the parts should be in much better supply. They will be changing their name from Serpent USA to Serpent America.

Hi,

I race both the S400 and the S720 for the German Serpent importer (2-Speed). I invest a lot of time and money in racing these model cars and it is important for me to know that I get support and parts when necessary.

I am happy to continue to race Serpent cars for this and next year. The information I receive from 2-Speed doesn't cause me to worry about not being able to receive parts nor that products will be discontiuned.

None of us can look into the crystal ball and say what will happen next year - all I know is the information which 2-Speed has told me and from information which I have received from Serpent themselves. I have no concerns!

Best regards, Mark.

Dont put too mcu stock in what Border RC says on this subject, its my understanding they have had a falling out with Serpent, so it is a personal grudge.

hey madmiki, about the spur wobble, there was talk of a slight imperfection in the surface of the spur plate causing the spur to be clamped down awkwardly (im talking like a thousandth or so) which twisted it slightly but now the new kits are perfect.

I just built up a brand new one and it has no wobble at all... I personally wouldnt worry about a slight wobble anyway, if its any more serious, change the spur plate and go from there. or progressively tighten the four bolts very carefully and o equal pressure to avoid any slight twisting. Much the same as avoiding a slight tweak when attaching a topdeck etc...

Cheers!

Any news on when Serpent will begin supplying S400 kits and parts here in the USA? I mean, back to normal, where we get full support on the car and parts?

Default Tfracing serpent S400 Lipo top deck

Serpent S400 top decks to fit 5000mah lipo batteries are selling fast in the USA , Canada and Australia, check out www.tfracing.co.uk for more details.
trade orders welcome, and bulk buying with discount, this is a hop up that works.
the lipo just slides straight in and out no problem, aids corner speed and reduces tyres wear,
