It really depends on the class you run as to what spur you can use. If you run stock it will probably max out at 96-100 since you have to run such big pinions (35-40) to get the final drive needed. If you run mod than you can probably run a 106-108 becuase you would use a 20 to 25 pinion.... I am obviously talking about 64 pitch gears...

I wanted to give you guys a few tips on building the cars when you get them so they will run really good on rubber tires.

Take the top deck of the car and file it a little on the ends so there is a little gap between the carbon and the aluminum bulk head. This gives the car a little more flexibility so it runs real good. I ran it with a .5 mm spacer under the hinge pin holders (front and rear)to raise the roll center position to free the car up in the corners. Also I ran the car with 30 in the front and 25 weight in the rear with 3 hole pistons. I also ran the car as long as it would go to make the S400 have good smooth transitions on the track. I ran the car with yellow fronts and white rear springs and sometime the orange ones. Droop-I set it to 4 in the front and 4 in the rear measured on the arm under the outside hinge pins. I ran no sway bars in stock and in 19t and Mod I ran it with the med one in the front and the soft one in the rear...

Does anyone from the guys that build and drove one, If you'll need some special tools to build this kit? For instance, special tools for building the diff, the suspension, drive-train or anything else...
This shop offers a special serpent tool setup kit and I'm wondering if I really need one.

Thanks

the only tool that helps alot is serpents shock tool, it tightens the plastic cap onto the body. u dont need it but it helps if you are changing oil alot.
