For those interested in my Reedy Race setup, here it is.

I posted my origional setup which is fairly easy to drive, should be able to get around the track well for anyone. My Reedy setup is more aggressive and will be a bit harder to drive, but is capable of some fast laps.

Notes:
-5 cell chassis used, receiver mounted in front of
batteries.
-Upper deck was cut to allow more flex. (see pictures)
-Used 2 gears in rear diff.
-TRF shocks with stock Tamiya bladders with nothing
above.
-Tamiya pistons used.
-AE lower spring retainers, and shock ends with 2mm
cut.
-.5mm anti-squat.
-Front pivots raised .5mm + .5mm anti-dive.
-Steering limited 1mm on knuckle.

Reedy Updates:
-2* caster blocks.
-600wt front oil, 550wt rear oil
-Body position 34mm
-Ackerman still in back row but outside holes
-3* rear toe block
-Front swaybar mounted inner hole on arm
-Front arms forward
-Rear arms centered
-5mm ride height
-Droop 34.7mm
-Full throw on steering
-Camber 1.5* front, 1* rear
-Handout tire was a Sorex 36R premount on Speedmind wheel "SpeedRex 36"

Hope this helps!

Ralph Lorenzo used that one(sp 3.5turns) here in the Philippines with the Gran turismo esc. His car was amazingly fast with 24 laps in 5 mins main... He was the champ (A main) back to back both legs 2 and 3 of our Ride Series here...

So, you are running bl already? Great isn't it?

Saw your pics kschu...Congrats your really putting your s400 on the podium...
rhoby, long time didnt see u online in rctech...how ur s400 ?

i'm using sp3.5r after i lose my interest in Mod Brush motor....d comm and brush finish like no tomorow...money oso gone like nothing...

i'm using SP GT 1.1 now and very happy with d result...thinking wanna change to Vortex motor since randy also using it.....

I have been able to make runtime without any problems using a 3.0 turn with the 4200SHO batteries. Orion now has the 4600SHO batteries which make it even easier to make time.

Now my Serpent S400 is build.

I need some more tuning parts tough.

If i where to change the rear susp. holder to 4.0 front and rear, what effect will it have because suspension arms are now further away from centerline?

Now i have 3.0 front and rear and use 1 or 2 hubs if desired, 0 also used, i drift so i dont need all the 3 and alike.

4.0 on the rear will make the car wide which usually means stable, but when you take out all of the toe-in it is going to lose almost all the traction. I've never drifted and haven't seen anyone in this thread who does so far, you might want to ask those questions in a general drift thread...

I have run my spare car as a drifter.... the stock setup it pretty good...

Tighten the rear diff down, and adjust your camber to balance...

10.5 motor seems to be perfect balance of speed and power for drifting

Anyone using Tamiya TRF suspension brackets on their S400? I've heard that they work just fine and would like to try them since I cant get Serpent suspension brackets.

But the Tamiya TRF brackets are weird: 1X, 1B, 1D? What the hell is that?

Which ones do I need for my s400...I want to narrow my front end a bit by using

0 FR, and 2 FF

and in the rear:

2.5-2.0 RR, and 0 RF

found a shop that has them but cant crack the "tamiya code" on them blocks....help!!!

If I'm not mistaken, either the X or A blocks would be equal to our 0 block. A, B, C, D, and E blocks all go up in .5 incraments. If A is equal to our 0 block, X would be equal to our -.5 block. XA, XB, XC, and XD all go down in .5 incraments. So E would be their widest block, and XD would be their narrowest, quite a bit narrower than our -.5 block.

Thanks Randy:

they got them...but there seems to be different version of the suspension blocks. Some are TRF 415, and some Ta05/TRF 415 suspension blocks and have different numbering on them: some are XA, XB, XC, XD, etc, and some blocks are TRF 415 /Ta05 and say : 1X 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D.

They all mount the same, the X line is just the narrow ones.
