Randy qualified well. 3rd in the A. But had trouble. Got nailed in turn one twice and basically started the race half a lap down. Ended up 6th. He was fighting for the lead in 3rd in A2 and made one minor mistake and dropped to 6th again. I didn't get a chance to watch A3 but it showed he was 2nd in that one. He seemed to be the fastest car on the track but just had some tough luck. I haven't talked to him since A2. I think he ended up in 5th or 6th overall. Billy ended up in 16th overall in Invite.

Just got back from the race, was pretty bummed out with the final result, but I know I have a great setup going into the nationals. I got a great start in A1, moved into second, but got hit on that lap and shoved straight into a pipe, the whole field passed by before the turnmarshall could get to me, so from 10'th I managed to work back up to 6'th. Both of my blades broke from that hit, and the dogbone pins wore grooves into my rear outdrives. Put new blades on for A2 and the car started great, had a 3 way battle for the lead as we pulled away from the pack, then the grooves in my outdrives wore out my blades and the car was extremely unpredictable and was breaking loose and doing donuts and there wasn't much I could do about it, another 6'th. New blades again for A3, took about a minute before the car started the spins again, but I figured this run should be all or nothing. I worked my way into 2'nd and with about 2 minutes to go I was about 5 seconds down from the leader, I couldn't quite catch up, but at the ending tone I was about .5 seconds off of his bumper.

I definately had one of the best cars out there, and if I hadn't had taken that hit at the start of A1 I really think the results would have been a lot better, but then again, that's racing.

Randy, good showing at the Reedy Race. Looks like your S400 was really dialed. Sorry for your bad luck in the mains. Will you be posting your setup on the Serpent site? Thanks AJ

Actually the setup I ran is extremely close to the setup I have already posted, I'll take a closer look at it to remember the exact changes and post them here.

Thanks Tim!

Kschu= The whistling sound of the high end brushed motors are built in especially the sp 3.5 turns due to the internal fan in the rotor. Are you using the speed passion 3.5? As far as i know, Only sp and orion have that whistling sound when they run...

Ralph Lorenzo used that one(sp 3.5turns) here in the Philippines with the Gran turismo esc. His car was amazingly fast with 24 laps in 5 mins main... He was the champ (A main) back to back both legs 2 and 3 of our Ride Series here...

So, you are running bl already? Great isn't it?

Saw your pics kschu...Congrats your really putting your s400 on the podium...

Fast is all you need to know, lol. Look at the top race results lately and you will see that Orion is on top of most of them, the new motor is an upgrade from the old one, and looks awesome now as well.
