I'm using the Helios, never a glitch at all, which is why I just dont see the need to switch to DSM. The main complaint I've heard from the pro's who have used Spectrum or DSM is that it just still doesn't feel like crystals. Then there are the problems like Craig Drescher had (I'm not sure what brand system he was using) a couple weeks ago at a 1/8 off-road race in UK where his reciever would overheat and the car locked on full throttle twice that day.. I've never known a regular crystal system to do this.

Hey guys, I have a favor to ask of anyone willing. I'm in need of a gear diff for my 10.5 car for the ROAR Nats. Basically just want my mod car and 19 turn car to have the same feel.

If anyone has seen one in a hobby shop or knows someone getting rid of one, please let me know ASAP. Otherwise, I'm open to rent one, and I'll pay all costs to get it to me and back to you as well as pay a rental fee, lol.

Hi Randy,

"Moved the ackerman to the outside holes on the bellcrank"

What is the effect of it ?
More steering or not ?

Regards,
Manu

It just gives more initial steering, makes the car a little twitchier as well.

Those DX3R radios look quite nice...I never had any issues with DSM/Spektrum technology...Look at the recent Thailand pre-worlds, most of the drivers were using DSM/Spektrum systems, right?

Give them a shot Randy---you'll be very happy indeed

Glad you like the GT 1.1...its nice alright

the 3PM FAST radio and receiver is really good. I love that radio and system over all.

Locally more and more are trying out the DX3R/DSM2 and love it. Its really small and light and easy to use and works perfect.

I think it's still a ways out before I even try DSM, let alone make the switch to it.

Is anybody using the geardiff in stock class (19t)?? I was using it last weekend and was 1 second slower per second than with the kit-diff. In my opinion the geardiff is also slowing the drivetrain (don't know how to call it, but it feels like the drivetrain isn't very smooth). Which oil/grease are you recommending for the stock class? I'm using 3000PST right now and I filled the diff completly. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance!! (by the way, I did finish 2nd despite the slow car!!)

First thing I would do.. is take two of the gears out, to lower rotating mass. As far as lube viscosity, it depends on the track and traction. If the traction is medium, I would start with a heavier lube, like 5k or 7k.

Look at your belts and make sure there is no slippage....
