Ive past on the info for using Tamiya axles etc... so the guys are not stranded.
Only one guy really had dog bone issues from hitting the pipes and also over tightening the diff screws.
We all are using the Tamiya diff screw and one piece diff thrust bearing.
hang in there my friend! Things will get even better very, very soon. Serpent NL is making huge amounts of parts we'll all get what we need in abundance. Hang in there and you will reap the benefits.

Awesome to hear you got the car working so well. I had the same experience, first day I got it dialed. I basically went on the track with my own setup that I thought would work well, and after 2 packs I had a great setup and have been plenty competitive with it since then.

Default Is the S400 design for form or rubber?

I am looking for a new car for my upcoming indoor season. The car will be running on carpet with spec rubber tire (jaco green) Is the S400 the best car for my requirment (13.5 and 17.5) or should I look at the T2 008 EU spec? I always like the serpent chassis and I don't mind to be the odd man in our club.

The Serpent S400 works great on carpet as well and parts cost much less than Xray cars. Both company make great cars, but the S400 parts a more economical.

Anyone try getting a 1.88 internal ratio on the S400?

THe 18T 3Racing layshaft pulleys for HB Cyclone, and Xray 34T diff pulleys. I know the 18T pulleys work, but not sure if Xray 34T Diff Pulleys work on the S400?

I just picked up an S400 and ran Xray before that, and love the 1.7 ratio that Xrays use.

I think the Serpent is a 2.18 ratio- but I want to run 13.5 brushless, and would rather run a 1.88 ratio with the S400. I hope the Xray diff pulleys work on the S400...anyone try this yet?

You could just use Hot Bodies center pulleys and get close without having to use the XRay diff pulleys.

18T pulleys and 35 Diff pulleys = 1.944

If the Xray work, I'd rather use the 1.88...especially the cool labyrinth diff pulley from Xray which keeps the diff clean, untill we get those Gear Diffs in

I hope someone here can get hold of an Xray 34t pulley and try it on the S400 diff and see if it works ok and let us know ASAP.
