Hi Joe, the T1-10 will be back in stock and available again soon.

Hi speedybill the updated info is coming soon at www.rclaps.com including costs and shipping etc. There's a new 'shrink' PTX version and a custom purple LED option amongst other things. Free shipping offer also coming too!

Hi magm20001, the PTX has 'generic' numbers which can be changed, they're like the 'RT' handout/loaner transponders with sets of 10 numbers from 1 to 10. The 20 number PTX has two sets of numbers from 1 to 10 so up to 20 numbers can be used together. As long as it's possible to select a number that's not being used in a race it's ok.

are you seeking any distributors for these or are keeping it direct? Would be awesome to have a choice of something other than AMB PTs here in the states.

yes but when will MTX CHANGE the 10 generic numbers that MTX has programed in there?

when you sell thousands of these PTX's with the same 10 generic numbers there will be conflicts later on.

well u need to check every number on the boards, inconvenience yes as you may have to change id's.

letting people know that the 10 number you get are not unique, they are the same
10 numbers anyone else with a ptx gets.

i was going to recommend this transponder to other people at my club, but not now, as they may make it inconvenient for me and may make me have to change transponder numbers.

I'm gonna have to play with my software and put 2-3 of the same numbers in a heat. I'll let you know what comes up.

If there is a conflict, you'll just have to check your position in the lineup... then set your number accordingly. Its like picking up a house TP.

"Most" races dont reshuffle the heats.... so it would only be the mains you "might" have to change then for.

So we, we being the general RC community, start to get away from frequency conflicts with the use of 2.4ghz systems only to run into transponder conflicts? Seems backwards to me. Maybe I read the last few posts wrong?

all i saying is that IF mrt was to change the 10 "unique" numbers on a regular basis (say on every 1000 units), then the possibility of conflict would be greatly reduced.

i assume its costly for MRT to do so.... ?

It does still give you the option to get a "clone". And it gives the track owner another option to buying HTP's and a charging rack.

Yes very much. The numbers come from HTP's or PT's that Terry had to buy up. They are not just numbers he came up with... they are old TP numbers.

If theres any sort of conflict, or a number of drivers at your club are using the PTX, then its really simple to avoid conflicts.........

If you're car #1, you set your ptx to setting #1, if your car 5 then setting #5. Not difficult. Remember them old times years ago when you had to remember to collect the right numbered transponder each run..... well its like that, but you don't even have to walk to the transponder table!
