2007 ROAR On Road Electric Nationals
#106

Scorekeeper will be attending another national this week, therefore, updates probably won't be on the website until Tuesday, 6/19 or so.

Has there been any consideration to the use of 5 cells at this race similar to the Reedy Race where a weight break is given to those using only 5 cells. I hope this happens. What is everyone else's thoughts?

The host track can submit for a rule deviation that would make for a better race. With the track being a little smaller than average 5-cell would help the mod class tremendously. I also think we would have less Mod guys (not all) dropping down into 19t for extra track time as the car would be setup for 5-cell

The other option is to just leave our 19turn motors in for Mod

Regardless the race will be awesome. Doug and his crew will put on a great event

Well, it is not really bending the rules. Roar posted this on ther website last December
12/10/06 Recommended Weight Guidelines
ROAR is providing the following guidelines for clubs and tracks that wish to entertain four and five cell provisional racing in their respective programs or series. In all cases dummy cells should be discouraged to prevent 'accidental usage.'
*For Electric Touring: 5 cells- 1343g foam tires, 1450g rubber tires; 4 cells- 1268g foam, 1375g rubber.
I would be willing to bet that if the deviation is approved the winner will be running 5 cell.

Ya, I asked the same question when the Nats. were at Peel-it Raceway. The responce was to put 6 cells in the car but only wire up 5 cells.

I find it funny when ROAR wanted to change to 4 cells without asking the racers, and now the racers ARE asking for a change and it won't be allowed.
