Thanks

Why?

I cant figure if you want a TC3 steering on an XXX-S or the opposite, but both cars are designed in a holistisk way of thinking, so I cant imagine other, than you would spoil the composition.

As far as I know, the TC3 is designed with asymmetrical suspension with the purpose to counteract for the torque steer due to the shaft. That wont work on a belt drive car....

As far as I know it's impossible, the 2 set-ups are just so different.

I thought most guys preffered to change the TC3 hubs into the xxxs steering as opposed to going from xxxs steering stuff to TC3 steering?

Changing tc3 steering knuckles and carriers for xxxs steering knuckles and carriers is done to provide more steering throw if I am not mistaken.

Default TC3 and XXX-S CVD axle

Hi,

Does that means that the TC3 and XXX-S CVD axle are similar ?

Exclamation

Sorry Guys! I should have been more specific.

I had read in a articale that putting the XXX-S steering knuckles on the TC3 would give you more steering throw. (as Im2lazy clarified for me)

I wanted to know what parts I need to order to do the swap out. I don't have a parts breakdown for the XXX-S, so I was hoping that someone that has done it or seen it posted on another site could help me out. OR the other option is to let me know what items need to be swapped and I can just ask the hooby store for the parts.

Thanks Again

Tom

Just buy the xxxs steering knuckles and throw them on! Direct fit with no modifications....

Yes, it's a direct fit. We swapped ours because the Losi knuckles hold up better, specifically the kingpin holes don't wear out as quickly. We also use Losi 6 degree hub carriers.

The TC3 CVD bones are about the thickness of one cvd-pin shorter than the xxx-s bones
Since the Losi cvd`s go quite far into the outdrives, I think they would fit. If durability went down, you could get the trinity outdrive savers.

I run the XXX-S steering knuckles because the stupid screw on
the bottom never loosens up like with the Associated
ones. If you use the hub carriers (they come with the steering knuckles...and the 6 degrees work great on carpet!) you will need to dremel the front of the carrier where it will hit the shock
with the new outer hole on the A-arms. Just giving you a heads
up on that.

A-9752: 2 degree spindle set
A-9753: 4 degree spindle set
A-9754: 6 degree spindle set

They are about $11.00. All come with spindles and the hub
carriers also.
