Default Losi JRXS-R VS. Assoc. TC5...Death Match

It looks like the TC5 will ship very soon. And Type R has been out for a while. So I pose the question. Which car will be the top dog? And why? (Parts avalability & costs, set up sheets, Li-po ready, Brushless ready, racing history, carpet use/asphalt use etc.) I plan on running rubber tires on both carpet and asphalt.

I have no history or affiliation with either manufacture. I do know both brands are well established and have good track records. But, with the coming of Li-po power and Brushless motors, which one would be the best choice?

To early to tell. Just pick one that you can get spare parts for and have fun. Afterall, isn't having fun the most important part?

If you use brushless and/or LiPo, the choice seems clear in favor of the Losi. In many ways, it's a future car.

The XRay is a nice car. Its sales are going to get murdered by an Associated car with similar performance for a lot better price, especially on spare parts.

Yep, AE is going to clean house in sales if it works. I agree with syndrOme on the Losi. I run it with brushless/lipo and wouldn't want anything else.

No they won't—the Xray guys like buying new car kits every 9 months.

Well it's nice when your company actually has a winning chassis available. Get your TC5 yet?

No, I bought a JRXS-R... That car seems to be capable of winning, even without stacking the mains with 50% drivers, too.
