unless you got the optional 2.5mm chassis and 2.5mm rear lower pod plate i don't think you'll be able to get the setup that was run at the iic. probably best to start with the standard 2.0mm chassis and the basic settings that comes in the kit.

I built one and raced it a few times, initial impression is very good.
The build is good w/the exception of the rear axle/hubs...mine had a wobble on the diff side. I just used an IRS rear axle/hubs and all is well. Hara and Moore use graphite axles too.

I didn't use the C12's front arms because they are not "lowered". I just used IRS arms w/ASE caster blocks and everything bolts up fine.

The car has a narrower front end than an L4, wheelbase is almost the same. The rear shock is one of the nicest features.....

P2,

You're not racing your OD12 anymore? BTW what's the turnout at Hobbytown SA like lately?

Guys,

I just snagged a HB Cyclone 12 recently to play with for a bit. It came to me built very nicely but I was going to take it apart to find out what is compatible with other parts from other manufacturers.

Barry,

I will post later the answer to your question, if you guys have any others please post.

Steve

Yes...other parts from ASE that will work are the following:

plastic battery holders
all bearings and springs
rear axle/diff, I didn't like the stock assembly
T-bar
dampener disks
steering blocks, shortens wheel base by 1.5mm

Besides the bearings the car is all metric. The pivot balls will not work in ASE/CRC cups. You can miss/match the front end w/standard 1/12 front end parts.

P2,

What's with the pink dog in the second pic? Or would you rather not talk about it?

I have an alibi.....it's my daughters. Here is a pic of her when she won a Hot Bodies Nitro stadium truck at the IIC

Here is a pic of Moore's car at the IIC. The only thing that doesn't look stock on the car are the ASE steering blocks w/lunsford axles and the graphite rear axle/hubs. Not sure if it was a 2mm or 2.5mm chassis, I forgot to check. Center spring is your standard Olive spring and the rear end of the shock is raised a mm or 2 because the rear pod sits lower than other cars. He's also using the 'tweak less" aluminum servo mount that bolts onto the chassis' center. Hara's car had the stock servo mounts.
