Looks to be official... http://www.redrc.net/2007/05/exclusi...ys-team-orion/

I'd bet the new Kyosho cars are designed with LiPos and brushless systems in mind, if nothing else.

Orion do still make Sub-C's and brushed motors you know!

I doubt we will see any Orion-led changes to Kyosho's cars. This just gives Kyosho a stronger hold on the marketplace, both in terms of retail (means they can offer a wider range of products) and racing (Orion are proven winners).

It's called corporate synergy, and it makes great business sense to benefit BOTH companies and their product sales.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see that direction, especially with Gil Losi now in product development (see JRXS-R).

It would be the same for those who run Losi and LRP.

As of right now the teams will more then likely remain as they are, there have been no decisions made to drop or add anyone based on their current sponsor chassis or power.

Sorry Charlie Tamiya will still have a hall monitor and their same rules and schedule. (Until they finish the move that is.)

And the track hasn't been "normal" for roughly 5 years

I dont understand. Using Hara for example. Before he went to checkpoint, had he still been using Orion motors, will he have left HPI for Kyosho or lose his sponsorship????
