What about the new HPI super sport 23T RS motor? They said they built it for 3300 battery. Is it good motor?

I would buy a 19t Chameleon motor to run and practice with if I were you. Then you could gear it to BARELY make run time and you know the 23T would make it. Also, they are cheap, and you wouldn't have to tune iit at all, becasue a really good 23t should run almost as good as an average, untuned 19t. Just use it for tuning and practice. Then put your fastest 23t legal motor in and BAM!, you're on the pace bro!! LOL :d

The HPI 23T RS L type is a Carbon copy of the Orion 23T Speed Demon L Type...You will see about 4.5 amps draw @ 7.2 Volts with 28000~29500 Rpm..but it has Lots of bottom end

Also Kawada Just cam out with a new Version of there 23T V stock ..

it has some kind of Black coating on the Arm'

Thanks for advice.
I will try it out next practice run.
But still it is a heck of a motor.
As you already stated it runs like a 11-12T.

Trinity monster stock are 27T stockers.
Not very common here, we race with 23T stockers like Japan.

i havent had a chance to try so many of those 23T stockers yet
but i'm currently using yokomo RST-torque and i gear it like mad.
these days , the trend is towards the L-type motors.laydown brushes ,but i havent tried those yet.

anyone knows which one runs coolest on average gearing, say 6.0?

They all run pretty cool on a 6.0 final gearing.. .. On average I gear in the 5.7~5.8 range with the Hi RPM ones and the Torque ones I gear in the 5.2~5.5 Range
