Default Coming back racing after University!

But only at club level! Promised myself no more nationals as it just costs too much money!

So, i need EVERYTHING bar a servo, speedo (have a LRP 7.1 can use for a while).

Used to run Xray/Hudy with br00d power so thinking thats the way to go?

Is the T2 07 at the end of its product cycle though, should i expect a new Xray car in the next couple on months?

The cyclone is the dominant car at my local track, but im fine running by myself, nobody can steal my setup then! Used to be one of the fastest guys!

My thoughts are to pick up a new car, new cells (just get mid range matched ones) a used Vantage 2 (need KO stick radio), possibly a much more or pulsar charger, then hudy setup station and some bits.

Cells are what worries me, ive seen these EP cells being advertised, IB3800s were good when i raced last (last Sept/Oct), 3800s and 4200s still good?

Also, for a speedo, brushless speedos, how do they compare to the brushed ones, thinking if i wanted to run modified then i could just stick a BL motor in as the no maintainance factor is appealing!

the T2 007 is really and you can always plan on xray coming out with a new car every other month.

best thing cells wise are the IB4200 WC edition at my track and im sure at other tracks.

the brushless speedos are alot better than brushed in my mind they have so much more ajustablility the new LRP TC WORLDS comp is the best to me but the GTB is find(HUGE ESC) better have alot of room if u use the GTB.

If youre only racing at club level maybe consider getting yourself some unmatched IB4200WC's?

Its early days, but mine have been fine so far Much cheaper than a matched pack too.

Well, if I were you I'd never touch the IB cells. Read the forum, they deliver the most power, thats for sure, but the power- lifespan is incredibly short.
From my matcher I heard the GP4300MPV (or something) have the same problem.
Try to get GP4600 or EP4200, they say those are good cells in the longer run.

If only you'd kept that RDX!

You gonna at least come to a few TORC's, just for old times sake... See if the Rover can make it that far

Really Delicate Xray!

Probably do TORC as its local(ish!) plus Wrexham/Bedworth/Ashby are all decent tracks!

Whats the deal with 5 and 6 cell now? 5 cell mod and 6 cell everything else?

And the Rover has done about 25k now as owned by me and has broken down twice, not too bad!

Pft i need a job first!

Nobody will employ me in a cheap job as ive finished uni, and might take me ages to get a graduate job!

Part time work getting me £300 a month covers my bills and petrol (lots of) and thats about it!

Tempting to get a CC and stick it all on 9 months interest free and worry about it when im earning!
