leisure batteries????
would like to get a 12v battery to charge my cells, have seen lots of people using car battery's typicaly ones from Halfords, I have been advised the leisure batteries are better but dont know what the best option is,,,,,,? I have found a place on-line which has leisure batterys for sale, £35 for 85 amps & £50 for 110 amps
but are they any good? delivery is included ( uk only) what should I buy?

I use a 12V leisure battery with much success, you just have to remember to charge it! The 85 amp one should be fine unless you plan on running more than 10 packs at a meeting. Car batteries work fine for a few months then go bad because they dont like the deep discharging then recharging, i got 18 months out of my last leisure battery using it every week.

sounds like thier is no contest between car & leisure batteries, but which one do you use? what does it cost and what would be the best charger, have seen auto ones from (Machine Mart £35) offering leisure battery facility or the one from Cunty batterys for £45,,,seems like charger cost more than batteries,,,,,,,

thanks for the advise have found a decent looking leisure battry in motor supply store, its made by a compnay called NOVA it has 85 amps, it was marked up at £60 but I haggled down to £40 for cash. Also bought a Clarke charger for £37 from machine mart, I think both items will prove good value, ill up date any problems, touch wood all will be fine.
