Default Big Carpet Race and Brushless Stock?

I'm looking for a bigger race to go to this fall/winter season. My wife's done with law school and the bar will be done by then so I'm wanting to "cash in" so to speak and hit a big race or two.

Only catch is, I only want to race brushless and would prefer BL Stock TC or 12th scale.

I know the Novak race has a 13.5 class...any others?

Not that I know of yet, I think the Novak race is the first big race of any kind to use the 13.5 motor. Since it's not legal to race in any stock class that uses ROAR rules, it'll be awhile I think before we see many big races make ue of it(which is a shame, because I LOVE mine). but hey, the Novak race is a GREAT event anyway(I try to go every year I can, & I'm doing the brushless class now, & might do Scotty's Masters class too, if he goes through with it), so why not just do that?

Actually, if that's the only one then that's probably what I'll try to do.

Isn't the 13.5 class there a rubber tire class as well?

yes, it is a 13.5 rubber class - lots of fun......

not sure where you live, but the HobblyPlex in Omaha has a couple decent size onroad races in the year and they allow brushless

you still might think about a race that still uses brushed motors. i know the 13.5 is great with the lack of maintenance, but there is usually plenty of people that will help you out with motor maintenance at the big races....

It's not so much that I don't want to do the motor maintenance I just would rather race the Brushless classes...

If you would like to see a 13.5 class at some of the bigger races try posting on a couple of the threads. There are threads for Cleveland and Vegas on here.

I have no doubt that the 13.5 class will be very popular at Snowbirds in February. The 10.5 class was very big this year, and many people talked about running the 13.5 class next year.
