I dont think you can, they are sealed, and I belive to zapp the magnets you need to have a bare can. Also it really isnt worth it, and if you are running in a silver can class, they are not to be tempered with, its called cheating.

I have been told that you do not want to zap the magnets of a silver can motor. If you do you increase the torque and reduce the rpms. Which is counter-productive in spec fixed ratio racing. When I first started racing silver can motors, I put a torque sleave on my silver can motor to increase the magnetic field. I found the car faster without the sleave.

For the cost of Having it Zapped you might as well buy a new one, the Silver Cans are Junk unless its a Spec Class you are running. We would have to pop the endbell off and then it would be deemed illegal to run in a Spec Class

I don't know about all that "pulling it apart" stuff, but I'm pretty sure that there were guys at one of the TCS I went to races zapping them.

There shouldnt have been, espescially at a TCS race, any tampering with a Silver Can is not allowed. You can break it in, I have seen people dip them in water when breaking them in, seems to work good on the silvercan. Also keep them clean with a motor spray, and I know of one guy who uses a watered down metal polish on the comm. But any
