Fully charge the Cell or Cells (the CTX-D can do up to 4 individual cells at a time, Please refer to the manual for cell orientation, They Must be in the CTX-D Exactly like in the picture, Note the Batteries Polarity must be right or it wont work) then Pulse Discharge on 30amps down to 1.0v, after fully discharged wait 2 minutes, then hit the up arrow ( I think, I cant remember ) and it will show the cells discharge or runtime, then up arrow again ( I think ) and it will show the cells IR, lower IR numbers mean the cell is in good condition and will have punch, high IR numbers are the opposite. Please Note: To get accurate IR numbers the cell must be fully charged. Personally I dont use the CTX-D as a Matcher, there is no reason to, because there are matching companies out there like SMC who have battery matchers out there that are alot better than this. I would stick to buying matched battery packs and use the CTX-D as a discharger

The description mentioned "It can discharge 1-6 cells or packs" does the packs mean stickpack?

No it will not discharge a stick pack. Only packs that are built side by side
