Duratrax Ice-Charging Question...
The question is... how can I use my Duratrax Ice to charge just a single cell and what settings would I use? (Charging a pack of 6 I'd be charging at 4.2 amps, not sure if that would work for the single)
Next question.. How do I charge several (3-4) at a time to have reserve batteries? Should I build a tray to make this happen?

You charge it the same as a pack, just set it to 1 cell...if you charge at 4 amps for a pack, then charge at 4 amps for a single.

What do you mean charge 3-4 at a time , are you talking 3-4 cells? Or 3-4, 6cell packs? If you mean 3-4, 6 cell packs, don't try it. Chargers have cell restrictions for a reason, if you try charging 18-24 cells at once, you are going to blow-up your power supply, charger, and maybe yourself. If you mean 3-4 cells, just charge the way you normally do but change the # of cells.

the ice can only charge upto a maximum of 10 nimh or nicd cells so I wouldnt really advise you try to charge more than 3-4 packs, assuming were talking about 6 cell packs here?
If you want to charge more than one pack at a time then I would look at a different charger like the Great planes triton2 which can charge upto 24 cells at a time, ie four 6 cell 7.2v battery packs all connected up charging at the same time and obviously all four packs being the same capacity. or you could buy a few more ices

The question about the single cell was... how do you hook it up TO the Duratrax Ice? As in what connectors, trays (if there is one) or cables... HOW do you physically charge a single cell?
In temrs of multiples... I meant 3-4 cells. How do you connect them to the charger. Does someone know of, or know how to build a tray that would allow the charging of multiples cells of odd numbers other than six?

I had to try and do this one day for my single cell to charge for my tm glow plug ignitor and usually just used electrical tape around the cell to hold the alligator clips on when charging but it was a pain so I made the little tray in the attachment.
As for charging 3-4 multiple cells maybe you could make a tray like I have and link each cell up.

That's EXACTLY what I want to do... so... what settings do you use on the ICE?
And more importantly where did you get the parts so I can get some quick and build a tray!

Do you think hitting the tip, that contacts the cell, with the Dremel to flatten it out a bit would make for better charging?
