Reedy Ti Krypton

Anybody have some imput on these motors. I'm trying to decide on a modified motor. These look nice

I have seen one run (a 10x2) and it is VERY fast and the driver says it goes longer between rebuilds than a lot of mods.

Yeah he replaces his ESC's more then he does his brushes:lol:

Brian McGreevy 04-09-2003 05:42 PM

  yeah very true...that smoked GT7 looked nice in teh counter

I saw jason Chang from Team AE kick a$$ with one of these motors last weekend.

I think these motors will do for modified what the Monster stock did for stock motors....

Nice to hear they last longer than most mods between rebuilds

Are they particularly high rpm or torquey? Are they very specific on what range of gearing they like?

Jarrod Langlois 04-09-2003 06:43 PM

from what ive heard their powerband seems endless. and it has little drag brake.

I've been running a 12x2 for a few weeks now, and its incredibly smooth. With a mid-sized com you'd think that it would have lower torque, but it has 4 magnets which makes up for it, the fields dont overlap.

Combined with a 64 pitch spur/pinion the car is very quiet and accelerates nicely.

I'm running 128/32 and its got great power in the corners and fairly quick on the straight.

You can't go wrong with the Kr as your first mod motor.

Where can i get a reed krypton 10x2 everywhere i look is out: tower, kt, stormer. Where can i get. I really want ot get into modified

kansasracer 04-17-2003 11:58 AM

I don't think their out just yet...

Maybe they are on a limited release....

Madcap Magician 04-17-2003 12:16 PM

Yeah, the 10x2 is out. When I bought my 12x2 the shop had sold thier last 10x2 the day before. You just have to keep an eye out cuz they are becoming popular.

KR are the way to go. I heard Trinity also has a 4 Magnet Motor coming out soon. We will have to see what they are like. Hope they are not like the Flatliners.... I like the P94's better then the Flatliners.

What ever happened to the V2 from orion? hahahahahahahaha
