Adrian- it looks like from the pics that PW's chassis is not "Prepped/sealed" is that just the way the picture came out or is it not "prepped/sealed" for a reason?

He dosent bother for asphalt. He does file every edge on the chassis so it not sharp but he does not CA it.

For Carpet he rounds the lower chassis and CA's it.

Is ok- Joel brought one out that he will be reviewing for RCCA. That car looks so good that I may get back into asphalt racing just to drive one

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

Good. I'm glad you like it that much. If you do get yourself one, you know I'm more than happy to help out with it. It's really getting good for me. I'm going to do some more asphalt racing this summer along with the 1/8 scale stuff now that BCR has opened up the old Ultimate track. I can't believe that track has just sat there for so many years and we haven't been racing on it.

Joel- If you want to meet up after work sometime this week before you do your review, I'd like to go over the car with you and get you some information I've learned in the testing I've done. I'll be going to BCR again next Saturday for some last minute testing before Reedy.

Rubber out of the box but minimal changes are necessary for foam racing.

Default Mi3 Downunder

Well I got to witness the Mi3's first outing her in Queensland Australia and as you can tell from my avatar and signature I am a Scythe driver (very happily too) BUT, this new Mi3 looked bloody awesome.

Driven by one of Australia better drivers, the car looked very stable, easy to drive and very fast. It seemed to be very sure footed and responded to direction changes without hesitation. Pit inspection revealved what appaers to be a very well set out and design chassis, from the ease of maintenance to the simple act of cleaning the Mi3 appears, well just plain easy. Everything looked effortless and whilst the other cars seemed to be twitchy and a little unco-operative (as mod racing can be) the Mi3 looked at home.

All in all for it's first competitive run against some very good opposition it posted a win, looked great and had the driver sporting one hell of a big grin.

If I were looking to change manufacturers I would certainly put this at the top of my list.

It appears to offer an actuall advantage through it's design over most of the other chassis. It will be good to see the Mi3, TC5 and maybe the new Serpent go at it in the near future. It's also great to see some real on track advantage by design coming from the manufacturers for a change. Lately (past 2 odd years) all the new chassis were simply slight upgrades or offered no real performance improvements. A lot of XRAY drivers (non sponsored) revirted back to the FK05 due to no real performance changes in the new cars.

Anyway it certainly looks bright for this car, and as I said if I could it would be my choice.

Unless a new Scythe comes out but I think you get the drift.

Cheers
Aaron

I want to get it together and do some spelling and content corrections. Just wait a few days.
