Novak Millennium Pro and IB4200 WC's
I had some packs of gp3700's and charged them as follows
6 Amps
Trickle off
6mv per cell.
Day before charge i would take them down to 0.9 on my smarttray.
All went well until recently they started to lose their edge so to speak.
So bought some IB4200's WC's from a buddy of mine.
These are in 5 cell formation which says I should use over the 6 cell as I will get faster laptimes from them. ( Well, My son should as it is he who races)
Anyhow.
We run 27t stock.
Will the 5 cell packs be quicker during a lap?
Will they hold out for 5 mins?
And what charging/Discharging method is best as I have heard that the IB4200's can be "Fragile" for a better word.
Cheers

I'm not sure about 5 cells but I know that the more voltage the more power given So 6 cells will offer better punch. Take care of your 4200's the same way as your 3700's except use a high amperage pulse discharger (20 amps +) after you are done using them. Then put a 10-20% charge into them. Then you equalize the cells before you charge them for your race.

Hmm.
Maybe I should build them into 6 cell packs then?
Also the same guy told me NEVER use a spintec batman on cells as he has heard bad stories about them...!
I deffo think he was dreaming at that point.
Any comments?

Ya, that's weird about the spintec. A lot of guys at our track use them with no troubles as long as you make sure you balance the cells with a balance tray. When you use a high amperage discharger such as the spintec, you train your batteries to give max punch for a five minute race. If you just discharge it with the smartray(3 amp discharge) you train the cells to give steady power for a long period of time. Maybe your friend thought that the spintec cuts the runtime of the cells, which is its purpose. The 4200's can give nice power for more than 5 mins and you use the spintec you concentrate the power to give full power in 5-6mins and then drop.

So, I suppose the sensible thing to do is to build the 4200's into 6 cell packs and run them that way ?
One thing though.
Will they fit in an Mi2ec?
I might use Body posts from the old Mi2. I dont really like the tape.
